What aid you would actually get, and what each school would actually cost
The Department of Education's own 2027-28 formula, line by line, on the figures from your tax return. Then the part nobody else shows: the same number carried through each school you pick — what families at your income actually paid there, what the federal loan caps let you borrow, and what is left uncovered.
Before you begin
- This is an estimate, computed from the U.S. Department of Education's published 2027-28 Student Aid Index formula on the figures you enter. It is not an offer of aid, not a guarantee, and not financial, tax or legal advice.
- Your official Student Aid Index comes from the FAFSA. Each school decides its own aid on top of it. Confirm every figure with the school before you decide anything.
- The per-school figures use the school's published cost and the average net price paid by families in your income bracket (College Scorecard, 2024-25), and the 2026-27 federal loan terms held flat. Averages are not promises.
- The figures you enter are sent once to compute the estimate and are not stored.
